Managed FortiAnalyzer / FortiManager
Anyone who has more than one FortiGate firewall in use will at some point want a central point of administration and analysis for collected log files. Only through a central administration of configurations and log files can a uniform situation picture be derived. In this way, dangers can be recognised at an early stage and counteracted in a timely manner.
Since operating your own FortiManager or FortiAnalyzer involves a higher investment - but also ongoing administrative activities - purchasing this service can be more efficient and cost-effective for your company.
What is FortiManager?
The FortiManager is used for the central administration of various Fortinet products. With it, you can easily make central configuration changes and apply them to the various devices. In addition, you gain central insight into the respective firmware updates and configuration backups.
In addition, you can also use FortiManager to centrally provide FortiGuard updates for your Fortinet components. The integrated VPN and switch manager rounds off the functionality.
What is FortiAnalyzer?
With FortiAnalyzer you provide a central logging function for your Fortinet solutions. The advantage of a centralised logging function is a holistic view of your infrastructure. This is an important step in the development of a Security Operation Centre (SOC). The integrated Indictor of Compromises (IoC) function proactively informs you if there are compromised hosts or servers in the network.

We take care of the firmware updates, provide the necessary storage resources and have a redundant connection to all major carriers, so we offer the ideal conditions for connecting your different locations - even worldwide if desired. As our server location is in Germany, the strict data protection guidelines of the European Union can also be ensured. This offers an additional added value compared to the cloud solution of the manufacturer itself.
We offer you the possibility to purchase the functions of both products as a service or as an add-on for your managed firewall. Here, we rely on the dedicated FortiAnalyzer, as it still has the function of the "Indicators of Compromises" and thus offers a clear added value compared to the integrated analyzer function of the FortiManager.

With the FortiAnalyzer, security data - so-called logs - can be collected, archived and evaluated. In addition, the FortiAnalyzer helps to track down successful virus attacks. It gives cyber forensics important information about how and when a virus could enter your network. Using real-time alerts in case of danger, you can act quickly and take appropriate measures.
Thanks to the integrated "Indicators of Compromise", you can evaluate even more details from your log files. The IOCs tell you whether anomalies have appeared in your network or whether an attack is currently taking place. This gives you even more transparency in your network.
By the way, you can also have other Fortinet products report to the FortiAnalyzer service. The only limit here is the daily log volume. However, you can expand this at any time. Feel free to contact us!
